So I am importing my horses to Canada ( from the States, all born and bred there ) , and was told I was going to have to pay duty on their worth. Is that true? I have everything from $750 stallion to a mare I picked up for $200 bucks. and then there’s the colt I bred myself, so he didn’t cost me anything. If they charge me duty on what I paid for them what percent is it going to be?
